Formal vs Informal writning

Mr.c told us we had  to write about somthing hat has happened to us. We hen had to write one paragraph formal and he other informal.This is my writing about when I tripped over the lawn mower. It was very dark and i could not see.

This is my writing when i went to the pools with shianne…….

Yellow Hat : I have written a good plan and focus for each of my paragraphs beacause they include my thoughts and feelings,5 sense’s.This is important that we include these so that it makes our writning more interesting and hooks the reader in.

Black Hat: I could improve on maybe useing a little more descriptive words and edit my spelling and improve on my sentences. I wil do this by editing, the sentence and putting more short descriptive words in them.

This week i have chose my sra work.

I chose this because i moved up a level and it was really tidy and neat work.

I think that i could improve this by getting up a level or 2 by getting 33/33 next time.

At the moment our class have been doing some sra cards. Our goal is to get at least 2 or more done a day.

I choose this because these two sra cards were my neatest ones in my book.I got 30/33 in the left one and 28/33 in the right one.

I think that i could do better next time by trying to get a better score in this work.

This week i have chosen my reading assessment because my teacher thought it was really terrific work.We had to choose a country and describe a child’s day at school.

A Day Of Ancient Greece Children.

I choose ancient greece because i wanted to learn more about this country.                                         Greeks schools were small.They had only one teacher and about 10 or 20 boys.The schools weren’t free, so only the rich greeks could afford to send their children to go there.School greek students didn’t need much school equipment as we do.They had to learn everything off by heart.Education was different for boys and girls.Boys were taught to become good citizens and girls were educated house keeping and how to look after their family.In ancient greece girls never went to school.They were kept at home being educated by one of their parents.Boys started school when they were  7 and left when they were about 14 years of age.They had normal school days as us, but in the afternoon they would go to wresting schools.When a new born child is born, if it was unwanted or weak then the parents would leave it outside to die.If a rich greek wanted it then they would take the child and turn it in to a slave…………….

That was my ancient greece article.

My wow this week is spooked because i got 5/6 for my questions.We had to do a reading test to test our reading skills.It was easy.I will put another post in to show my work.

This week my wok of the week is my maths work because i scored 10/10 and learnt lots of different strategy’s.
